Zünd has launched the Cradle Feeder 100, a successor to the original Cradle Feeder which was launched in 2017.
The Cradle Feeder 100 comes with an integrated cut-off system, intelligent controls, and smart roll-off features that Zünd says take textile cutting to new levels of productivity and automation.
Cradle feeders are used to feed textiles into a cutter, and the new machine is capable of advancing stretch fabrics from rolls completely without tension, thereby avoiding distortions. Its integrated unwind-control system continuously monitors the rate in which the material is fed onto the cutter and manages that process with greater precision than the previous model.
Zünd says that the integrated cut-off feature is the ‘heart of the technological advances’ that the new feeder offers. It slices through the material at the end of a marker even while the cutter is still busy cutting, making it possible to switch rolls and prepare for the next job without interrupting the production process.
Available immediately and compatible with Zünd’s S3, G3, and D3 cutter series, The Cradle Feeder 100 is able to accommodate fabric rolls of up to 100kg (220lbs), contains more than twice as many belts as its predecessor, and can be equipped with an optional cored roll-off unit.
