LG Davis has invested in a new Comet modular encapsulation machine; offering the specialist printing technique, which covers a printed sheet with a rigid strong plastic to provide extra protection and durability. The upgraded equipment will now increase capacity and speed of production.
Managing director Liz Smith, said, ‘As a firm we are continuing to see steady growth and to keep up with demand it is important that we not only continue to invest in our staff but our equipment as well.’
The high speed industrial encapsulator provides the company with the ability to print up to 25m of high-quality encapsulation (often used to create brochure covers, menus or signs) products a minute, with the pneumatic operation of all Teflon coated rollers allowing the use of specialist films as well.
The modular design means the equipment fits into the company’s current production line and helps to increase capacity as the business looks set to meet its target of reaching £5 million turnover by 2025.
Ms Smith added, ‘Comet is the leading supplier of professional printing and encapsulation equipment. As one of the only suppliers in the Midlands with this capability our added investment is not only enhancing our inhouse services here in Birmingham it is helping to create a first-class service for the wider community.
