Ricoh is turning its focus clearly onto sustainability in the mono production market, while also aiming to set new standards in reliability with the new Pro 8400S/8410S/8420S and Pro 8410/8420 mono production printer series.
The evolution of the two series incorporates productivity enhancements designed to elevate the production of a range of fast turnaround, on demand applications, for inhouse, corporate, transactional, and commercial printing environments.
The new series offers users an improved scanning speed up to 280 pages per minute for A4 duplex scanning at 200/300dpi, enhanced paper handling with a new ADF automatic document feeder, expanded media flexibility to strengthen productivity – printing on media weights from 52 to 350gsm and duplex up to 700mm in length, expanded functionality with finishing options that streamline workflow by automating tasks, and responsible production with the use of recycled plastic and recycled steel in the manufacturing process.
Ricoh states, the printer’s high-speed output and superior image quality is delivered by Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser imaging technology while crisp text, fine lines, and smooth halftones at 2400 x 4800dpi resolution are enabled by enhanced toner. Precise handling, even with pre-printed and dark coloured papers, is managed by the Mechanical Registration System, with a Contact Image Sensor.
In addition, ease of use is powered by an operation panel while downtime is minimised by auto jam recovery and an automatic purge function. Productivity and continual printing without replacing paper and toner is further enabled by multiple Vacuum Feed LCIT trays and twin toner system. Integration with Plockmatic finishing options also allows easy post processing activities.
