Mutoh Europe, the EMEA headquarters for Mutoh Industries, has introduced its first-ever integrated print and cut device, the XpertJet C641SR Pro. Available later this year, the 24in (630mm) model can be attained through Mutoh certified distributors and partners, with sales starting in Japan in October.

The company described the C641SR Pro as ‘ideal’ for desktop use – it can also be equipped with a stand on caster wheels and an automatic roll-up device for added versatility – offering precise contour-cut and through-cut functionality. It also integrates a Mutoh AccuFine 1600 nozzle print head, enhancing both print quality and productivity.

Offering a production print speed of 6.5sqm/h at 600 x 900dpi, the printer/cutter includes the advanced user comfort features from the XpertJet SR Pro 54in and 64in wide printer models and uses Mutoh’s Greenguard Gold certified MS31/MS51 inks which are suited for a wide variety of outdoor and indoor graphics.

Engineered and assembled in Japan, the XpertJet C641SR Pro is a compact, lightweight printer/cutter designed for businesses starting out or bringing graphics and sticker production in-house, said Mutoh. It’s versatile for creating signs, full-colour stickers, vehicle graphics, banners, posters, labels, heat transfers and fine art prints.

The XpertJet C641SR Pro integrates a drag knife cutting head for precise contour and through cutting. Two adjustable pressure arms allow accommodating various media width ranges.  A built-in grit roller ensures accurate media transport and alignment.

The machines UV durability without lamination lasts up to three years outdoor. However, for heavy duty applications where mechanical stress or environmental impact is involved (floor, vehicle and marine graphics), lamination is required.

The company outlined the ‘unrivalled’ user assistance to save time and waste as a key benefit. This, it said, is due to the feed master, which automates the media feed; the media tracker, which automates media roll length management through bar code print/scan; and the nozzle area select, which allows the disabling of nozzle areas on the head to continue printing.
