Family-owned Danish company Vetaphone has appointed Micheal Behrens as CEO as part of its strategy for future growth and success. His appointment is effective from 1 December 2024.
Since 1993, the company has been managed by the Eisby Family Council – Verber Eisby, founder; and his two sons Frank and Jan Eisby. With an acknowledgement that to move the company forward, more expertise is needed at senior level, Frank Eisby said Mr Behrens is the perfect fit for that task, as the brothers focus on tasks away from the day-to-day operations.
Mr Behrens joins Vetaphone with more than 20 years’ experience in senior management positions, most recently as chief commercial officer at Logitrans, the Danish manufacturer and supplier of high-end lifting equipment.
Frank and Jan Eisby will remain on the Company Board of Directors – Frank will head-up a new development business unit, while Jan will run the Vetaphone Academy Educational Unit.
Jan Eisby commented, ‘We are extremely proud of our family heritage and the contribution that Vetaphone has made to the global industry. The new management structure maintains the family succession and provides a firm base on which to take the company into the future and achieve even greater success.’
