Taking place with immediate effect, both appointments represent internal moves, with Oliver and Simon stepping into more senior roles after each spending more than 12 years with Soyang Europe.

Mark Mashiter – father of Oliver and Simon – has been managing director of Soyang Europe since June 2005. He will remain in the role moving forward.

Oliver has served as a sales manager at Soyang Europe since joining the company in September 2011. In his new role as sales director, he will be responsible for the entire media sales team.

His key objectives will be planning how to achieve sales targets, developing and implementing new systems that will help both customers and the sales team, and researching new markets and products.

Simon is also among the longest-serving members of the Soyang Europe team, having worked at the company since May 2012. He started out as a sales executive before becoming general manager for works. In his new role as operations director for media, he will work alongside operations director of hardware, Jon Spencer, and will be responsible for the entire operations across the media team at Soyang Europe.

His will evaluate how the business operates and will identify areas that can be improved to achieve optimum efficiency. With responsibility for the entire Altham site, Simon will oversee staffing, maintenance, deliveries, in-coming goods, alongside the management of company assets including the vehicle fleet.

‘I am delighted to see Oliver and Simon step into more senior roles at the business,’ Mark said. ‘Both very much deserve to progress higher up the hierarchy, having built up tremendous knowledge of the company over the past 12 years or so.

‘I very much look forward to seeing how they help the business continue to grow and expand as we move into 2025 and beyond.’
