Fujifilm will showcase its new high-speed full-colour continuous feed inkjet press, the Jet Press 1160CFG, alongside a number of integrated inkjet solutions, at Hunkeler Innovation Days 2025, which runs from 24-27 February, in Lucerne, Switzerland.
This year’s Hunkeler event, held under the slogan ‘Connect’, provides Fujifilm the opportunity to demonstrate how strategic partnerships are helping to add more value for customers.
The Jet Press 1160CFG will take centre stage on the stand. Launched at drupa 2024, the printer is equipped with a newly developed ‘Paper Stabiliser’. The conditioning unit enhances productivity, production efficiency, and print and finishing quality by regulating the amount of moisture in the paper before printing, the manufacturer said. With the enhanced drying technology, the press delivers high-speed printing of 80m/min – even on thick and thin coated paper.
Fujifilm will showcase the press in collaboration with Hunkeler’s finishing equipment to produce promotional postcards live at the show. Additionally, a joint demonstration with Meccanotecnica, manufacturers of bookbinding equipment, will highlight the possibilities of Fujifilm’s inkjet technology for high quality, flexible, short-run book production. In addition, Fujifilm will highlight instant switching capabilities between books of varying sizes and pagination, in collaboration with Horizon and its StitchLiner technology.
Finally, Fujifilm will showcase its integrated inkjet solutions. Fujifilm’s inkjet print engines on display at Hunkeler Innovation Days will be the 42K Printbar System and the Mini 4300 Printbar System.
Taro Aoki, head of digital press solutions, Fujifilm EMEA, commented, ‘Our participation underscores Fujifilm’s commitment to innovation and collaboration, in keeping with the ‘Connect’ theme of this year’s show. The Jet Press 1160CFG is a milestone product for Fujifilm. There is nothing else like it on the market, particularly with its advanced paper stabiliser. We have been market leaders for continuous feed inkjet in the Asia-Pacific region for some time and we’re now delighted to be bringing this technology to the European market.’
