Kent-based supplier of digital print, signage, graphics and packaging Knockout Print has invested in a digital flatbed cutter from Vivid which has opened new opportunities for the company, said Vivid.

The VeloBlade Nexus works alongside the company’s Epson flatbed UV printer which it purchased last year. Prior to a suitable cutter, Knockout said it was unable to complete jobs efficiently. This investment has enabled it to process its existing orders more efficiently and enter the growing packaging market.

Vivid said the opportunity to test the machine’s capabilities before installation provided Knockout Print with peace of mind, ensuring the right choice was being made with the VeloBlade Nexus. The cutter offers the quality, service back up and price point to make it a perfect fit for Knockout, added Vivid.

Additionally, the VeloBlade Nexus offers versatility, enabling Knockout Print to expand into different markets. So far, the company has utilised it for applications such as vinyl cutting, e-flute boxes, paper-over-board projects, and Dibond.

Knockout Print also acquired Vivid’s ZipCore Packaging software. This software includes a library of designs, allowing it to create boxes or point of display, which customers require.

Ian Paull, director of Knockout Print, concluded, ‘The entire experience of purchasing through Vivid was seamless and a pleasure. They consistently delivered everything we needed from the system. Their comprehensive training and responsive phone support gave us the confidence to fully utilise the machine and continue our on-the-job learning without the fear of customer delays.’
