Screen has integrated Dataline’s Multipress print MIS software with its Equios printing workflow software, which it said provides end-to-end connectivity across the entire commercial printing workflow.

This solution sets the benchmark for seamless integration of digital inkjet presses and print MIS systems, stated Screen.

MultiPress provides a one-stop overview of printing operations, integrating file preparation checks, and communication with pre- and post-press machines. An add-on to this, named Multiflow, provides a significant leap forward in automation for commercial digital printing workflows, said Screen, adding that the integration works with its Equios management software to share bi-directional data flows.

MultiFlow supports comma-separated value files generated by Equios, providing detailed reports on press activity including job time, materials used, and production insights. This feedback is then automatically processed by MultiPress to perform post-print calculations, ensuring accurate workflow productivity reporting ready for a detailed assessment.

Hunkeler Innovation Days (HID) attendees will experience live demonstrations from the Screen booth of this workflow software integration with a Truepress JET 560HDX, paired with an in-line Hunkeler CS8 roll-to-stack solution. The show, which runs from the 24-27 February, in Lucerne, Switzerland, will be the stage for these demos that will highlight how Multipress with Screen Equios enables seamless connectivity across digital printing workflows, automating routine tasks to improve productivity, support labour shortages, and reduce operational waste.

Jef Stoffels from Dataline, commented, ‘Printers today must automate to stay competitive. With administrative costs still averaging 40% of total expenses, solutions like MultiPress with in-depth and thorough integrations with press suppliers like Screen provide the tools needed to reduce costs, streamline processes, and maintain and expand profitability as commercial printing jobs continue to shift towards smaller more customised orders. This innovation allows printers to build healthier margins and succeed in a market where adaptability is key.’

Screen will also be showcasing more of its solutions at (HID) which Digital Printer reported about here.
