Friedheim has appointed Robert Jess as UK and Ireland sales specialist for its packaging and finishing divisions, and has also joined the SPA, a platform to discuss shared interests. This has set the company up for continual growth, it said.
Finishing and converting equipment supplier Friedheim International has appointed Robert Jess as its UK and Ireland sales specialist for its packaging and finishing divisions, and reports that it has also recently joined the SPA – the UK Sheet Plant Association, which is the trade body for corrugated packaging sheet plant converters and suppliers.
Mr Jess, who has a background in sales management, brings over twenty years of sales experience, with nine of those being in the corrugated industry. He will be responsible for supporting existing customers and developing new business for the range of finishing solutions Friedheim offers.
The move to join the SPA will offer Friedheim industry-specific development opportunities and the exchange of information between member companies and wider corrugated industries. Alongside its range of solutions, Friedheim said it is poised to support the demand for durable, efficient packaging.
The company said the UK corrugated packaging sector is expected to grow steadily in 2025, driven by demand for sustainable materials and the expansion of e-commerce. Valued at $4.18 billion (£3.36 billion), the market is projected to grow at a CAGR of 2.59%, with support from government regulations promoting recyclability. With its finishing and packaging divisions both already experiencing growth in converting sectors, Friedheim said that Mr Jess’ guidance will aid customer growth projects across all these areas moving forward.
