Two Northern Ireland-based businesses, Ballyprint and Impro Printing, both owned by Aaron Klewchuk, have made multiple Fujifilm digital print investments. Ballyprint in Ballymena installed an Acuity Prime flatbed and Revoria Press PC1120, while Impro Printing in Belfast installed a Revoria Press EC1100.

Commercial printing company Ballyprint became the first company in Ireland to invest in the Fujifilm Acuity Prime when it was installed in April 2024. Mr Klewchuk said the Acuity Prime stood out due to its superior design and the Fujifilm’s ongoing R&D efforts. He added that the ability to print on a range of materials, including PVC-free options and paper boards has already broadened its service offerings and improved its production processes.

Mr Klewchuk continued, ‘Jobs that previously took days to complete can now be turned around in a matter of hours, thanks to the Acuity Prime’s efficiency. This improvement has been particularly crucial in meeting the tight deadlines often demanded by clients, especially for large format printing projects.’

The Acuity Prime has replaced Ballyprint’s fifteen-year-old machine. It has improved speeds by at least 45%, whilst also decreasing energy and ink consumption, said Mr Klewchuk. It has also improved the company’s turnaround times and reduced its operational costs, he added.

In August 2024, Ballyprint continued to expand its capabilities with the installation of the Revoria Press PC1120. ‘With our previous machine, we saw an opportunity to serve the creative market with metallic finishes and speciality colours,’ said Mr Klewchuk. ‘With the Revoria Press PC1120, we’re taking it a step further. Its ability to print vivid colours like fluorescent pink, along with improved handling of synthetic materials, allows us to offer even more to our clients, especially those in the creative industries.’

B2 commercial print company Impro Printing installed the Revoria Press EC1100 in September 2024. Mr Klewchuk stated that the addition of the Revoria EC1100 allows Impro to keep up with the increased volume of digital work while complementing its sheet-fed litho services. It is a versatile machine that can handle a wide range of jobs, ensuring the company can meet the growing demands of its clients, he commented.

‘With Fujifilm as a partner, we’re confident that we can continue to push boundaries and deliver exceptional value to our clients,’ Mr Klewchuk concluded.
