New leadership and council members offer a fresh perspective to drive industry growth.
The Independent Print Industries Association (IPIA) has announced a series of strategic reforms to strengthen the support it offers to its members and the broader industry. The restructure includes a change of leadership, which the association undergoes every two years, the addition of three new council members, and a shift in focus to be more proactive and less reactive.
Managing director of Portland Media, Charles Rogers, has become president, with Alasdair Browne from Abbot Print as chair, and Mark Stephenson of Fujifilm Europe as vice chair.
Mr Browne commented: “I see the future of the IPIA as a dynamic, collaborative hub – where dedicated professionals in print work together with passion and purpose.”
The association council has welcomed three new members – Sarah Lees from Compass Business Finance, Pete Horwood from Imprint MIS, and Mike Hughes from Latcham. The council now consists of four Strategic Imperative Committees, each with its own chair and supported by working groups. The four committees focus on standards and best practice, education and professional development, market development and advocacy, and networking and collaboration.
This new structure allows the IPIA to focus on the industry’s most critical areas and help it to actively shape its future.
Mr Hughes said: “The IPIA offers a fantastic suite of resources and a group of peers with whom Latcham can work to continue developing our sector. The IPIA team are also fantastic advocates for our industry, ensuring that our voice is heard at the highest level.”
The change in leadership and addition of new talent brings a fresh perspective to the association’s vision and operations, while ensuring continuity in the support and direction it provides to the industry.
