Two new digital presses reveal manufacturer’s intent to “unlock industry growth” by creating a smart, connected print landscape.
Landa has a reputation for innovation, highlighted by its trademark NanoInk and Nanographic printing presses. These machines employ pigment particles ten times smaller than conventional inks and a broad CMYK colour palette. The latest presses, revealed at last year’s drupa, take Landa’s technological advancements even further, offering impressive performance upgrades and harnessing AI technology for quality management.
The Landa S11 and S11P include an updated ink drying system which enables print speeds of up to 11,200 sheets per hour. This allows for higher volumes, faster turnarounds, and therefore increased productivity and profits.
The two presses also feature the company’s new PrintAI module, which uses data gathered from the printing of millions of sheets to increase precision, quality, and fidelity. Integrating active quality management with AI and the ability to interface with an EyeC inspection system promises exceptional results for commercial print, publishing, and packaging applications.
