Bishops Printers has made “significant” investments in its print finishing department, strengthening its production capabilities. The latest upgrades include a Müller Martini 6-station stitcher, and three RFU66 Heidelberg Stahl folding machines equipped with Palamides stackers.

Additionally, the company has installed an extra TI-52 folding machine and a new guillotine, aimed at improving finishing efficiency and maintaining high-quality output.

This expansion follows Bishops’ decision last year to enhance its short-run bound work capacity. With an average annual investment of £2.3 million over the past three years, the company said it is modernising its production processes to meet customer demands efficiently. And the investment strategy goes further than technology.

Paul Cull, production director at Bishops, said: “Our finishing operators are highly skilled and adaptable, allowing us to flex with the demands of each job. Providing training on state-of-the-art equipment in a modern, well-equipped factory not only strengthens our capabilities but also instils a strong sense of professional pride in our team.”

The company’s continued reinvestment strategy ensures it maintains operational efficiency and reliability while supporting long-term sustainability, the company stated. These latest installations ensure it can meet evolving industry demands while maintaining high standards of service and output quality.
