Irish print company We Do Printing has undergone a digital transformation, launching a fully integrated web-to-print platform. The journey, which began with a WordPress site, has culminated in the launch of an e-commerce site tailored to the print industry.

We Do Printing transforms online presenceTo realise his vision, We Do Printing managing director Cian Byrne reached out to VB Media, a UK-based e-commerce platform designed specifically for the print industry. While VB Media initially only offered a sterling-based version of the site, the team quickly developed a euro version to suit We Do Printing’s needs

The launch of the new website marked a turning point for We Do Printing, allowing the company to expand its product offerings and streamline the customer experience. The most significant benefit, however, has been the automation of the ordering process, the company explained. Customers can now browse products, place orders, and make payments directly through the website, reducing the need for customer service intervention and minimising the risk of errors. Mr Byrne noted: “The site does it all for you… the admin is done, the invoice is sent, and the process is much faster.”

Orders placed through the website now account for 7% of We Do Printing’s total sales. Reflecting on the success of the transition, Mr Byrne credited both the platform’s ease of use and the importance of offering a personalised, human touch when needed. “Customers still like to be hand-held through the process, but everything is there on the website for them,” he concluded.
