UK-based print provider OK To Colour has invested in a Canon Colorado M3W UV LED roll-fed wide-format printer from CMYUK. The new printer has enabled the company to increase production speeds, enhance reliability, and meet the growing demand for high-quality white ink applications, including graphics on glass and fabric wallcoverings.

“The Colorado has been amazing,” said Alex Fitch, co-founder of OK To Colour. “It has allowed us to take on larger jobs, meet tighter deadlines, and deliver exceptional quality to our clients.”

The Colorado M3W, part of Canon’s fourth-generation UVgel M-series, offers high-quality results, low operational costs, and a wide range of applications, said Canon. Capable of outputting up to 111sqm/h and printing with vibrant colours and sharp details, the M3W has become a vital tool in OK To Colour’s production process.

Mr Fitch continued: “The speed, quality, and reliability of the Colorado have been amazing. We had a huge job recently, over 150 meters of print, and we were able to complete it in a single day. That kind of turnaround would have been impossible with our old printer.”

According to Canon, one of the standout features of the Colorado M3W is its hassle-free white ink, which is three times faster than comparable technologies. It also offers unique LFXfinish+ technology, allowing for premium matt or gloss finishes in a single pass.

With the Colorado M3W the company can now handle double-sided prints in a single run, saving time compared to its previous printer, which required each side to be run separately. The print provider said the ability to switch between matt and gloss finishes without needing lamination has provided an edge, particularly in corporate and events sectors.
