Preston-based creative printing business AVJ Design has enhanced its service offering with the installation of a ColorJet Verve 2513M flatbed LED UV printer, supplied by Quality Print Services (QPS).
Founded in 2005, AVJ initially focused on the hospitality sector, expanding over the years into large-format printing, signage, promotional gifts, and clothing. This diversification has helped the company grow, leading to the decision to invest in a new printer to meet rising demand for bespoke signage, printed products, and packaging.
Managing director of AVJ Amelia Yates explained that the company had previously outsourced certain printing tasks but wanted to bring this work in-house to improve speed and efficiency. The company opted for the ColorJet Verve 2513M due to its capability to print on a range of rigid surfaces, including wood, glass, leather, and ceramics. The machine also boasts a top speed of 38sqm/hr and features a four-zone vacuum system for easier operation.
Since its installation in January, the ColorJet Verve has already proven its worth, enabling AVJ to deliver faster turnaround times. Ms Yates added: “As well as saving us money, the machine has already helped us to produce bespoke work we would never have been able to do, and we are now in the process of entering more industries with the wider range of products that we can create. We have already been printing on acrylic, laminate, ACM, Correx, card, paper, Foamex and PVC vinyl.”
