China Print Supplies (CPS) has made a strong entry into the UK print market following its launch at The Print Show last year. Over the past six months, the company has installed its first printers at five UK firms and continued to build momentum with a presence at Sign & Digital UK in February.
“We have seen at both industry shows that there are lots of sign and print companies looking for high quality, reliable printers, but don’t feel they have to pay the Earth for it,” said CPS managing director Scott Clutton.
CPS imports and supports SinoColor printers from China, which Mr Clutton believes is outperforming more established brands. “Every printer we have brought over so far outperforms any other printer I have worked with over the last 13 years,” he commented, highlighting features such as staggered printheads and high-resolution output.

The printers are fully customisable, allowing users to configure ink options without compromising on colour capabilities, the company stated. CPS sold six printers and installed three as a direct result of exhibiting at The Print Show and has several leads from its appearance at Sign & Digital UK. The company plans a larger stand at the next Print Show, showcasing its compact flatbed and 8 x 4ft UV flatbed models, as well as some new products which will be announced at the show.
“Our background is in engineering and support, so we bridge the gap between China and the UK and supply printers that are pound for pound much better than the established brands,” said Mr Clutton.
