Horizon BQ-470 four clamp perfect binder
Trade finisher Leeds Die-Cutting has invested in an Intelligent Finishing Systems-supplied Horizon BQ470EVA perfect binder and a Horizon CRF-362 creaser folder.
‘We already had a Horizon BQ270 perfect binder which ran very well,’ commented owner Ian Bradley. ‘But then we needed a more productive system. The BQ470 was the perfect next step. It is ideal for short to medium runs and will also handle longer runs.
‘[The CRF-362] is very versatile,’ added Mr Bradley. ‘We chose it to give us another option for stitched booklet cover creasing, which we can’t do online. It also removes a process when creasing leaflets etc prior to folding and supports the perfect binder for pre creasing covers on tricky stock and for covers with throw outs. It removes a bottleneck and that streamlines our workflow.’
Mr Bradley concluded, ‘Both solutions have increased our production capacity and enabled us to competitively quote for longer runs. We can now be more flexible and confident that we can reliably meet the fast turnaround times our customers require.’
