The PSD Handbook 2018 can be downloaded free of charge from the Fogra website
The latest version of the Fogra ProcessStandard Digital Printing (PSD) handbook is now available.
Since its establishment in 2011 by the Digital Printing Working Group, the PSD handbook has pursued the goal of providing users with predictable print quality in both small and large format digital printing. As a “living standard”, the PSD is revised on a regular basis.
The most important changes in the 2018 version include the introduction of the new characterisation data sets FOGRA53 and FOGRA54, as well as updates on the PSD tolerances for colour evaluation in production printing. To enable a clear distinction from previous revisions, the PSD tolerances will be communicated as “PSD-2011”, “PSD-2016” and currently as “PSD-2018”.
The German and English versions of the PSD Handbook 2018 can be downloaded free of charge from the Fogra website.
ISO/TS 15311-2, which contains the specifications of the PSD, has also been published.
