The Sussex Sign Company runs Nazdar inks supplied by QPS on a Mimaki JV3 and a Roland VersaArt RE-640
After appointing Quality Print Services (QPS), The Sussex Sign Company made the decision to switch its original digital printing inks to Nazdar premium alternative inks.
Based in Brighton, the company provides a comprehensive range of professional graphic design facilities, signage and vehicle livery products.
In response to increasing demand from customers, The Sussex Sign Company added digital printing services to its portfolio in 2004 with a Tiara Opal. A year later, it appointed QPS, Nazdar Ink Technologies’ main UK distributor, as its equipment and maintenance supplier.
QPS’ managing director, Chris Bailey, recommended the Nazdar inks for their value and reliability. Since then, The Sussex Sign Company has run Nazdar inks supplied by QPS on a Mimaki JV3 and a Roland VersaArt RE-640.
‘Chris was very clear that the Nazdar inks would be hugely beneficial for us. As well as the immediate cost savings, the colour-fastness, print quality and reliability of the inks was very high. In addition, Nazdar inks are non-aggressive to the working parts of the printer and this has meant our spare parts and maintenance costs have also been kept to a minimum,’ said Norman Mayhew, The Sussex Sign Company’s managing director.
Nazdar 1302 Series and 2000 Series, for the Mimaki JV3 and Roland VersaArt respectively, are colour-matched and chemically compatible with OEM inks. This enables users to avoid the cost of waste ink and reprofiling when changing to Nazdar products.
Mr Mayhew concluded, ‘We produce on average around 170 jobs a month and at least 125 of those have some element of digital print in them. It is testament to the quality of the Nazdar inks and the condition our machines are kept in by QPS that we have so many happy and loyal customers. We are very confident that we can deliver fast, responsive and reliable service at all times for all our customers, while maintaining competitive pricing and a profitable, growing business.’
