Poplar GC2 for Cartons and Poplar Super are available with FSC certification and suitable for all types of printing applications
Carton board, graphical board and paper stockist Warren has extended its stock range of Chenming Paper’s Poplar GC2 H/S and Poplar Super.
With over 200 different specifications available, the company says it will now have a product and size variation to suit most customer requirements. Poplar Super GC1 is a fully coated white back folding boxboard with a lick coated reverse intended for both general packaging and graphical applications.
Poplar GC2 H/S is a fully coated, hard-sized, white lined folding boxboard-with a cream back, and is aimed primarily for use within the confectionery, frozen and chilled food and pharma market sectors.
Both products are already in place in sheet stock for immediate delivery.
Both grades are available with FSC certification and suitable for all types of printing applications, including varnishing and film lamination. Poplar GC2 for Cartons and Poplar Super are said to be suitable for digital print, though not certified for any specific process, so trials are recommended.
Commenting on the stock range extension, Warren’s commercial director John Turner stated, ‘We have deliberately spent time developing and establishing the Poplar brand into the market, ensuring that we have a consistent grade available for the long-term. We have committed to large stock levels with over 150 sizes in the Poplar GC2 range alone, offering our customers as many options as possible outside of standard sizes to try and optimise the best fit option, therefore reducing wastage and keeping the offer as competitive as possible.’
