Wellingborough-based Print Data Solutions has combined personalised print with video in a new product range called Vue TV by incorporating a thin high definition video screen into a printed brochure or business card.
Shown at the Marketing Week Live exhibition in London in March, the brochures can be individually personalised using inks or coloured foils.
Scott Rendall, commercial director at Print Data Solutions said, ‘Video marketing is set to be one of the biggest stories of 2018. We know that a high proportion of videos are skipped online within the first five seconds but when a Vue TV brochure arrives in front of them, people are more likely to pay attention and watch it for longer.’
The Vue TV features HD resolution, a wide viewing angle and stereo sound. Video content starts to play as soon as the item is opened, with nearly an hour of playing time and enough memory for several videos. The battery lasts two hours and is rechargeable.
Video screens of various sizes can also be incorporated into packaging, exhibition stands or point of sale material by PDS. Uses could include product launches or demonstrations, presentations and pitches or training delivery.
