Swanline Paper & Board (SPB) has launched Cygnus Excellent Display Board, a 100% fibre-based display board with strong eco-credentials for indoor retail signage and point-of-sale displays to rival plastic alternatives.
The board has been designed to be durable and robust, yet is fully recyclable and FSC certified.
Ross Griffin, managing director at SPB, said, ‘The market is demanding eco-friendly solutions for display and signage requirements. The challenge for us has been to develop a board that considers the environment whilst competing with plastic in terms of its rigidity and strength, aesthetics and performance. We believe that Cygnus Excellent Display Board addresses all those needs and more!’
The new display board features a smooth white surface for superior printability and is designed to not curl or crease for the lifespan of the product. It is suitable for direct print in offset, screen and UV flatbed digital printing techniques.
In addition, it delivers 50% greater rigidity compared to leading European-made foam PVC. Furthermore, transportation and storage costs can be reduced by up to a third as less material is required to achieve the equivalent level of rigidity delivered by low density foam PVC.
