The Baumann was installed at the beginning of November 2017
Printwize, an Essex-based printer, has replaced its 10-year-old Wohlenberg guillotine with a brand new 115 Baumann Wohlenberg from Friedheim International to allow the company to enhance its cutting for more complex and demanding jobs.
The Baumann was installed at the beginning of November 2017 and was integrated into the company’s workflow. With a workforce of 28, Printwize operates a comprehensive in-house bindery to complement its printing capabilities. Its processes include cutting, foiling, die-cutting, saddle stitching, collating and thermal laminating, all done in-house in their 1200sqm premises.
With a turnover of over £2.7 million, Printwize runs Mitsubishi Diamond B1 presses with inline coating units which it is looking to replace later this year with one to be converted to UV. The company also runs a Konica Minolta digital press for quick turn-around work such as leaflets or multi-page booklets using a wide range of substrates from PVC and plastic, to die cut boxes and labels.
