Wide-format RIP and design software vendor SAi has reached a worldwide deal with Graphtec to include its software with the latter’s range of vinyl cutters.
Based on SAi’s Flexi design, output and cutting software, Graphtec will offer Cutting Master 4, Graphtec Pro Studio and Graphtec Pro Studio Plus to meet a range of cutting requirements from print service providers and sign and display shops. Cutting Master 4 is a plug-in to Adobe Illustrator and Corel Draw which enables the user to drive the cutter with minimal input; Pro Studio adds wide range of options including auto-shapes, supported by highly accurate registration mark sensing; Pro Studio Plus adds smart nesting for designs that are larger than the substrate, nesting overhanging sections into available free space elsewhere on the media to minimise waste. An Animated Cut Viewer option allows the cutting order to be previewed and optimised in advance of actual cutting.
