Konica Minolta’s AccurioPress C6100, launched earlier this year, has received an award from Keypoint Intelligence and Buyers Lab International (BLI) for image quality, productivity, media handling and job management capabilities.
Presented at a Konica Minolta event in Berlin, the BLI 2018 Pro Award was for “outstanding colour mid-volume production device with Fiery IC-315EFI controller”. Particularly highlighted in the BLI report was the colour control automation that the cut-sheet toner press’s Integrated Colour Care Unit brings. As Digital Printer reported in May, this includes a spectrophotometer that allows for automatic adjustment of colour during the press run and a scanner to control duplex registration.
David Sweetnam, Buyers Lab’s director of research and lab services for EMEA/Asia, said: ‘Superior productivity and media handling and high-quality and consistent output distinguish the Konica Minolta AccurioPress C6100 from the pack in the ever-competitive and growing mid-volume production colour space. Over the course of its testing, the device proved it can capably and quickly handle almost any media size and type thrown at it up to 400 gsm.’
Charles Lissenburg, general manager of Konica Minolta Europe’s Professional Printing Division, said: ‘The BLI report stated that the AccurioPress C6100 has taken Konica Minolta’s capabilities to new territories and has set some new benchmarks.’
