Renting can make more sense than buying in today’s market
Printer resellers Perfect Colours is set to offer clients an alternative to buying or leasing their print equipment with a new rental initiative.
The difference between the new rental package and the company’s traditional leasing offer is that customers can rent a new printer for a fixed monthly fee without the option to buy the equipment at the end of the three-year agreement.
‘This new rental agreement means that clients are able to take on the technology they want rather than the technology they can afford, without feeling tied into a long-term commitment that might turn into a purchase,’ explained Perfect Colours’ sales director Jon Telling. ‘The package also includes a warranty that runs for the three-year term of the agreement – and then when the time is up, they can hand the printer back to us and rent a newer model.’
Perfect Colours has set its rental rates competitively, and customers will know exactly how much their printing technology is going to cost them on a month-by-month basis.
Prices start from £39 a month to rent an HP DesignJet T520 24in and rise up to £315 a month for an HP DesignJet Z6800, while the HP Latex range starts at £299 a month for an HP Latex 315 and climbs to £679 a month for an HP Latex 570.
‘It’s a solution that allows participants access to better technology with less of a commitment,’ said Mr Telling, ‘so we feel it’s exactly right for the market at this time.’
