Fields of Life’s goal is to bring safe drinking water to over one million people by 2020

London-based family-run business, Matthews the Printers has partnered with the Fields of Life charity and will donate £4000 to sponsor the construction of a well in post-conflict East Africa.

The funds will be allocated towards the drilling of a borehole well in Uganda. Matthews is also encouraging other businesses to support the charity and help to provide clean water to thousands more.

‘We are delighted to be supporting Fields of Life and to be able to change many lives in this way,’ said Christopher Riddell, managing director at Matthews. ‘We look forward to seeing the well completed and seeing the positive results that we have been part of.’

‘It is truly wonderful to have the support of Matthews and we couldn’t be more thankful for the help they have given us to change lives,’ responded Deborah Cameron, head of development and fundraising GB at Fields of Life. ‘Our team are always excited about the possibilities that can be realised thanks to such generosity and most importantly, the many lives that will be positively affected.’

To date, Fields of Life has completed the construction of over 117 schools and over 580 wells in places like Uganda, Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan.
