“Mars Green” has been applied to a number of products available to buy from GF Smith
To celebrate the discovery of the world’s favourite colour, GF Smith has launched a pop-up shop selling products customised in the winning shade, “Marrs Green”.
The results of survey in which thousands of participants from hundred of countries voted for their favourite colour revealed the most popular shade to be “Marrs Green”, named in honour of survey participant Annie Marrs who chose the shade closest to the winning hue.
Initially launched in Humber Street as part of Hull UK City of Culture 2017, GF Smith’s colour-themed pop-up shop runs at show space in London from 12 July until the end of September.
The colour has been applied to a range of products from popular brands including Tokyo Bike, Anglepoise lamps, Sunspel, Cambridge Satchel Company, H Furniture, Richard Brendon and Plain Pins along with a selection of stationery products from G. F Smith.
“Marrs Green” joins the Colorplan range as the temporary 51st shade, and is available for use by designers, brands and individuals via gfsmith.com.
‘I’m absolutely delighted to have picked the World’s Favourite Colour!’ enthused Annie Marrs. ‘The colour was inspired by the landscape that surrounds me at home in Scotland and that deep green hue with a tinge of blue has always been a favourite of mine.’
