The KAS Mailmaster Compact
Showcasing a range of UK-made enclosing equipment for envelopes and polywrapping, KAS Paper Systems will be appearing at IPEX 2017.
The KAS Mailmaster Compact is a 5000 DL to C4 per hour production envelope inserter with a compact footprint, aimed at printers who are planning to diversify into direct mail. It is constructed to handle large volumes but also designed for easy set up and quick changeover from one job to another, making it equally suitable for short run work. Three automatic feeders and a hand feed position are provided as standard. The prime document feeder has an integral folder. Two insert stations handle a wide variety of documents.
The top of the range Mailmaster Eclipse inserts into C4/C5/DL at 8000 envelopes per hour. Features include multiple sheet feeding at maximum speed, semi-automatic job changeover, secondary channel for feeding and reading a prime document, such as a 7mm thick booklet from the side insert feeder, datalog tracking of all prime documents and inserts for 100% closed-loop reporting and mailing integrity.
Also being demonstrated is the KAS Mailwrap polywrapper which has been developed to fill a gap in the market for printers and direct mail companies to upgrade from lower speed equipment without having to invest in high speed polywrappers at much greater cost. It handles from CD width to over A4 with a maximum speed of 6000 packs per hour.
New announcements may be made nearer the exhibition date. IPEX 2017 takes place from 31 October to 3 November at the NEC, Birmingham.
