Schoolchildren finalists at the Shine Awards were taught how to make their own paper
Antalis supported the 2017 Shine Media Awards by providing attending pupils with practical lessons in paper making.
Designed to recognise young creative talent by providing national recognition for pupils’ media and communications achievements, the seventh Shine Media Awards ceremony was held at the Stationers’ Hall, London on Monday 19 June.
Antalis has supported the event for the last six years and at this year’s ceremony, the company was on hand with Arjowiggins creative papers to take pupils through the process of dowsing, blending and merging to create their own unique piece of paper. The business also provided branded bags and gifts for the pupils to take away.
Matthew Bottfield, corporate social responsibility manager at Antalis commented: ‘As a business committed to the next generation, we want to make a real difference in terms of helping to educate, inspire and showcase the full range of career opportunities available.
‘It has therefore been a pleasure to support the Shine Media Awards once again. The paper making lesson proved very popular, enabling pupils to see how paper is made first hand while also learning about the importance of recycling in a way that really resonates.’
