Barnsley, South Yorkshire-based Sabur Digital is to extend its portfolio of products from Korean printer manufacturer Digital Graphics Inc (DGI) with the addition of two new models.

Dean Sanger, managing director of Sabur Ink Systems says that ‘having worked closely with DGI over the last two years and successfully selling, installing and servicing the DGI HS FT11 high speed sublimation printer without any real issues it was a no-brainer to increase our DGI portfolio.’

On show at Fespa 2017, the new 3.2m Fabrijet FT-3204X hybrid printer functions as a “two-in-one printer” with its ability to print both direct to fabric and paper with the same inkset. DGI had the printer running both fabric and paper media, alternating daily over throughout the event.

Also printing continuously for the whole five-day event was the Fabrijet FT-1608, which ran non-stop from show opening at 10:00 until close at 17:00; it did this without any stops other than to change media.

The Fabrijet FT-1608, which has a production speed of 75 sqm/hr, has recently been installed at Sabur’s show suite and the FT-3204X is due to be installed in July. In readiness, the company’s service engineers have been to Korea for training.
