US-based Color-Logic has confirmed an exclusive partnership with Vivid Laminating Technologies of Coalville, Leicestershire, to sell and support the former’s metallic digital printing effects solutions in the UK.
Using a digital printer combined with Vivid’s Matrix digital foiling and laminating system and its Aqua Aura silver or rainbow holographic foils, Color-Logic’s Adobe-compatible suite of colour communication systems and software toolsets allow designers to work with metallic foil colours.
‘By using the Color-Logic tools, you can now achieve 250 different metallic colours, all from one single roll of foil and with just a click of a button,’ explained Lewis Evans, Vivid’s product manager.
Mark Geeves, Color-Logic’s director of sales and marketing, said, ‘Vivid’s expertise in foiling, combined with our innovative colour system, creates exciting new opportunities for printers to grow their high-value print production business, whilst reducing overall stock inventory.’
The alliance offers users two levels of software integration: a standard package including the full design suite and FX viewer for one user, and a premium package that allows up to five simultaneous users of the design suite and FX viewer, combined with five Pattern-FX which adds dimensions to the print.
‘We’re able to offer both packages on either a three- or five-year lease,’ said Mr Evans. ‘Combining the lease cost, printers can have access to our award-winning Matrix digital foiling system and Color-Logic’s incredible metallic print effects starting from just £70 per week.’
