Heidelberg Versafire CP
Bolton-based Haslam Printers has replaced its Heidelberg Linoprint C901 with a Versafire CP for improved quality of work.
The company was an early adopter of web-to-print technology and managing director Darren Horrox says that staying with Heidelberg was always a certainty.
‘We needed to upgrade, and wanted to remain with Heidelberg,’ he explained. ‘The new digital printing press can handle up to 400gsm boards and is great for overprinting, when we personalise or version offset work.
Haslam Printers already has the press running on a flexible day shift basis.
‘This is a press that gives tight register,’ said Mr Horrox. ‘We are a corporate brochure company with digital options so it is the quality aspect that is key. The ability to print six-page A4 might create an opportunity for us but that was an added benefit rather than the key to this investment.’
