Arjowiggins is releasing a limited edition Cyclus notepad and a promotional mailing to support the campaign

A collaboration between Arjowiggins Graphic and Childfund Alliance will support education for children in Mali by providing “light to learn”.

Arjowiggins is helping to provide solar lamps to children living in villages without electricity as part of Childfund’s global “Light to Learn” challenge. The campaign also hopes to raise awareness of Arjowiggins’ Cyclus 100% recycled papers’ environmental and ethical credentials.

The campaign calls on designers, printers, print managers and end users to watch a video highlighting the issue, and  for every 25 views Arjowiggins Graphic will fund a solar lamp for a child living in a village in Mali, giving them the means of doing their homework and helping to fulfil their educational ambitions. The aim is to provide 200 solar lamps by the end of the campaign, which runs from the beginning of May to the end of June 2017.

When visiting the website www.mali.cycluspaper.com customers can also request a limited edition Cyclus notepad containing pages of Cyclus Offset 90 gsm, and a cover which features a soft touch varnish and embossing on Cyclus Print 350 gsm. Arjowiggins Graphic is also supporting the campaign with mailings, e-mails, web-banners and a social media campaign.

‘Since 2012, Cyclus has partnered with charities to support the education of vulnerable children worldwide,’ explained Angela De Vorchik, operational marketing manager at Arjowiggins Graphic UK. ‘This year’s partnership with Bornefonden, a partner of ChildFund Alliance enables us and our customers to make a genuine difference to the lives of children in Mali.’

Lisa Gaspar, communication manager of Un Enfant par la Main, member of Childfund Alliance, said: ‘Our mission of ensuring that every child, regardless of background, has the opportunity to grow with dignity, learn and have a future, is dependent on the support and collaboration of compassionate companies like Arjowiggins Graphic and Antalis. Thanks to their support with this Cyclus campaign, and that of their customers, 200 children in Mali will receive vital lighting to continue their studies.’

The campaign is being rolled out in the UK by Antalis, a stockist of Cyclus.
