Six-colour A2 direct-to-object LED UV printer, 64-inch budget dye-sub and four-head 75-inch industrial high speed sublimation printer to debut in Hamburg, together with a new flex LED UV inkset.

The ValueJet VJ-626UF is a six-colour (CMYK plus white and varnish) A2 flatbed LED UV printer that can print on a wide variety of solid materials and objects up to a thickness of 150 mm. It has a bed size of 594 x 483 mm and is targeted at short-run personalisation of gifts and gadgets, packaging prototypes, awards, speciality industrial items, labels, decals and signs. Offering print resolutions up to 1440 x 1440 dpi, the VJ-626UF has an integrated vacuum bed, an automatic table lifting system as well as an LED pointer to facilitate accurate media placement and origin point detection. The thickness of the loaded object is also automatically measured.

Aimed at businesses looking for a high volume production printer for roll-to-roll digital transfer prints, the VJ-1948WX is a newly designed sublimation transfer printer that features a staggered four-printhead array and built-in dual heaters to support high speed printing and improved productivity in media up to 1910 mm in width. It delivers production speeds from 67 m²/h at 360 x 720 resolution with four print passes up to 125 m²/h at 360 x 360 with two passes and has a top speed of 194 m²/h, making it well-suited to applications such as high quality personalised home textile decoration and décor fabrics, fast fashion, soft signage, sports gear and textile banners.

For start-ups and established businesses looking for a wider dye-sub printer, the newly launched 64-inch ValueJet 1604WX may appeal for volume production as well as short print runs. Applications for the unit include high quality in-store textile decoration and displays, textile banners, pop-ups, sportswear, personalised home decoration, gadgets, transfer to rigid objects and shirt printing.

Mutoh will also première a new flex LED UV inkset comprising CMYK, white and varnish specifically developed for its ValueJet hybrid (roll-fed and rigid media) LED UV models. The inks do not contain any VOCs and will extend the capabilities of Mutoh’s Hybrid models to typical signage applications, including high quality backlit applications, prints on clear and non-white substrates and vehicle wrapping.
