Martin Bailey, CTO of Global Graphics will speak at the webinar on Wednesday

On 26 April Global Graphics will hold a webinar examining the impact of PDF 2.0 on print production.

In about two months PDF 2.0 will be published by the International Standards Organisation.

At 4.00pm British Summer Time (11.00 am EST) on Wednesday 26 April, webinar speaker Martin Bailey, CTO of Global Graphics Software (and primary UK expert to the ISO 32000-2 committee that took over the ownership and development of the PDF 2.0 standard in 2008) will explain how workflows will handle PDF 2.0 files and what will affect print production.

The 30-minute webinar will cover:

•          Improvements to specifying output intents: PDF 2.0 will allow them to be included for every page individually

•          Changes to colour management in PDF transparency

•          Defining spot colours

•          How halftones will be affected: there will be changes to lists of spot functions; halftone origins and halftone selection in transparent areas

•          What’s ahead for variable data

•          How to test your applications against the new standard
