The 64-inch-wide Mutoh VJ-1604WX dye sublimation printer
The ValueJet 1604WX is the latest, affordable addition to Mutoh’s wide format dye sublimation printer line-up.
Mutoh’s new VJ-1604WX budget-friendly dye sublimation printer is suited for volume production runs as well as short print runs of textile decoration and transfer to rigid objects.
A variable drop eight-channel printhead, allowing output resolutions up to 1440 x 1440 dpi, and the piezo printhead is capable of firing drops from 3.5 pl up to 21 pl, using Mutoh’s DS2-series dye sublimation inks.
The 1604WX is claimed to deliver production speeds up to 22 m²/h at 360 x 1080 dpi (3 pass), and will print on common dye sublimation transfer papers. The printer can handle 2″ and 3″ core rolls and comes with a motorised winder system for media rolls up to 30 kg, for straight winding of finished prints.
Available immediately, the ValueJet model will be sold exclusively through Mutoh’s channel of authorised resellers throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
