Asanti 3.0 has a new interface for large tiling jobs
The latest version of Agfa Graphics’ automated production hub and workflow tool for sign and display printers offers new functionality, more integration options and increased automation.
Version 3.0 of Agfa Graphics’ workflow tool for wide-format printers allows for integration with third-party print equipment, MIS solutions and with Agfa’s own software like the cloud-based PrintSphere automation and StoreFront web-to-print offerings.
‘It really is a complete production hub that streamlines the entire workflow from beginning to end,’ explained Erik Peeters, marketing manager workflow solutions, Agfa Graphics. ‘As such, it allows print professionals to avoid errors and minimise manual interventions, shorten pre-press procedures and thus simplify the entire printing process.’
Asanti 3.0 features IntelliTune, which automatically analyses and improves image quality by optimising skin tones, for example, or by eliminating noise or “staircasing” and blurriness.
The software also offers proofing support with QuickProof (an improved digital alternative for see-through graphics on clear material), optimised automation via new parameter presets and smart image repetition possibilities to further increase productivity.
Version 3.0 has a new user interface for tiling huge jobs and adds mounting instructions on the prints to facilitate stitching and other finishing operations.
Asanti’s production dashboard displays all print jobs, the number of prints, the status of multiple print engines, ink levels, elapsed time and other information in one overview.
New to Asanti Color Management is an advanced mode that allows printers to use a wizard for managing colours and shortening throughput time; this also features new white printing options. Asanti 3.0 allows for replacing special spot colours (such as brand colours) with dedicated colour alternatives, in order to reproduce them more accuracy on challenging media.
