Michael Walker takes the helm at Digital Printer

 

Michael Walker has been appointed editor of Digital Printer, replacing Barney Cox who has stepped down from running the magazine.

In a statement issued today, Rob Mulligan, managing director of Whitmar Publications said: ‘I would like to extend my gratitude for what Barney has done with the magazine in the time that he has been here.

‘However, I am delighted to announce that Michael Walker will take on the role from 1 April. Michael is a regular contributor to Digital Printer and has been in the industry for 30 years, since editing the UK’s first monthly magazine dedicated to the then-emerging technology of desktop publishing in the late 1980s. 

‘Since then he has written for a wide range of publications, including the Financial Times, PrintWeek, Spindrift, Print Monthly, Print & Paper Monthly, Professional Photographer, Digital Photo Pro  and DSLR User, as well as for Digital Printer’s sister titles Digital Labels & Packaging and FlexoTech. He has also worked in print industry PR and marketing communications services including contributing and editing roles on award-winning international customer magazines for Adobe Systems and Fujifilm.’

Michael is working on Digital Printer in a contributing editor capacity throughout March.
