American market services provider, Graphic Village, has chosen Tharstern to pull together all its MIS software and bring increased efficiencies across multi-site operations to aid expansion into new markets.
Previously all of the Ohio-based company’s business units had different MIS suppliers. Unification was required to improve scheduling and planning, as well as providing clear reporting lines that would provide up-to-date information at any given point.
‘We had no realistic way of what revenues we were making per order, or even on occasions if we were making a loss,’ recalled Jeff Hudepohl, executive vice president and partner of Graphic Village. ‘The second biggest thing was the CSRs in terms of the time it was taking to write up and track jobs.’
The new Tharstern system went live in February. ‘It’s all going to plan so far,’ said Mr Hudepohl. ‘This is a substantial investment, but we’re looking at Tharstern being our MIS partner for a 10 to 15-year period.’
‘Graphic Village is another example of how increasing numbers of companies in the print, packaging and label industries are seeing the spectacular efficiency benefits that MIS solutions bring,’ commented Bob Moore, chief operating officer for Tharstern USA, which has just become a member of SGIA. ‘Tharstern’s MIS helps to drive increased profits by helping companies become more efficient and automated.’
Tharstern is currently showing its MIS software at Dscoop Phoenix (1-4 March). The company will also be appearing at Sign & Digital UK and at The Print Show this year. The 2016 Print Show was attended by television broadcaster Julia Bradbury, who visited Tharstern’s stand.
