Digital and print management company, The Printroom Group, has installed a fleet of Canon Colour digital presses at its Bracknell, Camberley and Reading digital print hubs.

The purchases from include two Canon imagePRESS C10000VPs including three-knife trim and inline crease; three imagePRESS C700s; a VarioPrint 6160 and five imageRUNNER ADVANCE C2225is. The presses were installed over the past five months and have replaced the company’s existing digital presses.

With its 40th anniversary in view, The Printroom Group grown to having an annual turnover of in excess of £3.3m. The investment in Canon machinery, which is expected to reach £2.8m over the life of the machines, was aimed at growing the company’s share of the ‘short-run quick turnaround market’ according to Keith Cooper, finance director.

‘We are delighted with the upturn in quality and productivity,’ said Simon Lewington, marketing director. ‘The installation of Canon technology will be extremely beneficial for our business as we continue to grow volume and develop our business. This will enable consistent colour management across all sites,’ he added.
