Hartgraph Print has returned to Heidelberg for a Versafire CV to add digital capacity at its Amersham plant.
The Versafire runs alongside an existing Linoprint 751 at the company, which is still predominantly focused on litho but embracing change – having recently moved to 24 hour operations in its pressroom.
‘Digital is an important partner operation and this investment is spurred by technology change,’ said Steve Walters, Hartgraph partner with Tony Brooks. ‘We like the [Versafire’s] larger 700 mm tray and the vacuum rather than suction feed mechanism which will make personalising pre-printed sheets much easier. Also the white and clear varnish means we have something more to offer our customers.’
Hartgraph anticipates taking on another operator in the coming weeks.
