The Truepress Jet520HD
The latest Truepress Jets520 roll-fed inkjet presses from Screen will make their commercial debut at Hunkeler Innovationdays.
Screen GP will demonstrate the flagship Truepress Jet520HD press printing onto standard offset coated paper using new inkjet inks for the first time – expanding the flexibility and cost-effectiveness of the system.
In another first, the press will be integrated with a Hunkeler roll-to-stack solution with Dynacut function to show automatic cutting and stacking of variable sheet lengths.
Screen will also launch the Truepress Jet520NX model (announced at drupa last year), which is equipped with a newly developed five-inch printhead module and supports a maximum resolution of 600 by 1,200 dpi plus advanced ink volume control. This press can be fitted with an extra printhead for a ‘fifth colour’ that enables the use of MICR black ink and other special inks. For the show, the Jet520NX will be integrated near-line to a Hunkeler Roll-to-Stack solution featuring the HL6 laser module and printing value-added transactional applications.
A front-end process which automates the production of complex, personalised direct mail and books (where each item varies in page size and volume) will be shown for the first time. Screen is also partnering with Horizon to demonstrate the automation of binding books with variable page sizes and volumes.
