Elizabeth Piveteau brings knowledge of the European timber supply chain and issues surrounding sustainable forestry

The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) has appointed Elisabeth Piveteau to its UK board.

Ms Piveteau is UK & Ireland export manager at PiveteauBois, a French softwood sawmiller and manufacturer of timber products for the construction, landscaping and energy sectors that has over 65 years’ experience of selecting the softwood from certified forests in France and Poland.

Commenting on her appointment Elisabeth said: ‘I am delighted to have been asked to join the Board of PEFC UK. Representing a French company in the UK market, I recognise the importance of being able to supply our British customers with certified timber and provide them with assurances of responsible sourcing. I am happy to be able to contribute to the valuable work PEFC does in promoting sustainable forest management around the world.’

‘We are honoured that Elisabeth has agreed to join us at PEFC UK,’ said Alun Watkins, PEFC UK’s executive director. ‘We will benefit enormously from her knowledge of the French timber sector and this will enable us to better meet the expectations of one of our key stakeholder groups, those exporting to the UK market.’
