The LEF-200 is the latest model in Roland DG’s benchtop UV-LED flatbed inkjet line-up
Roland DG has added the VersaUV LEF-200 to its range of benchtop UV-LED flatbed inkjet printers to meet demand for small-lot customisation from consumers and businesses.
The LEF-200 has a 508 x 330 mm print bed and can print on three-dimensional items up to 100 mm thick. It features a new on-board primer ink option for priming objects quickly and conveniently (the primer ink option is also compatible with the LEF-300).
Users can choose from three ink configurations: CMYK+White+ Primer, CMYK+White+Clear, and CMYK+White+White.
According to Yuko Maeda, division president of Roland DG business development unit, ‘With the LEF-200 you can customise a wide range of consumer products and promotional items’ and the new primer ink option ‘makes adding graphics to glass, plastics and other challenging media so much more clean and efficient.’
Roland VersaWorks Dual RIP software, which can be used to create the white and clear ink channels, is included in the price of the printer (£19,999). Features like rotation and mirroring of the data can be configured in the RIP as well. The newly available Maintained Clipped Position function (to print designated images only) is also included.
‘With its ease-of-use capabilities, even operators with minimal digital printing skills can operate the device,’ concluded Ms Maeda.
