York based printer Wood Richardson is using FSC accredited paper as its house stock to improve its environmentally-friendly credentials and to help its customers to make informed print decisions.
Paper from forests which meets FSC environmental and social standards is marked with the ‘tick tree’ logo.
‘For years we’ve been an FSC [Forest Stewardship Council] certified printer,’ explained Alan Coulson, sales director. ‘It was a strategic decision which made good business sense and proactively encourages responsible printing to our clients.’
Wood Richardson offers its clients recommendations on paper sizes to reduce waste; suggestions on environmentally friendly inks, and information about paper stocks and finishing considerations to make the finished product more easily recyclable.
