Johnsons of Nantwich ordered its Foliant foiler at this year’s Print Show
In order to offer short run foiling, printer Johnsons of Nantwich has ordered a digital foiling unit for its Foliant Taurus laminator.
‘We wanted to cost effectively add short run and personalised foiling,’ explained John McMillan, managing director of Johnsons. ‘This won’t take away the need for traditional foiling but it will easily handle all our short runs. The fact we don’t need to make a block will reduce costs and decrease turnaround times.’
The Foliant multi-functional (retrofittable) inprinting unit applies foil or varnish to a pre-printed toner image. Foils available include gold, silver, red and green and a clear gloss for spot varnish.
Johnsons ordered the foiler from UK dealer IFS at the Print Show.
