La Meccanica is based in Urgnano (Bergamo), Italy
A previously announced deal by Japanese wide format firm Mimaki to acquire Italian textile printing equipment firm La Meccanica Costruzione Tessili has been completed.
Following the conclusion of the purchase the textile machinery firm has been converted into a subsidiary company, Mimaki La Meccanica.
Three of Mimaki’s executives will be appointed at Mimaki La Meccanica, which will manage production, sales and service for digital printers, textile inspection and packaging machinery.
‘We are pleased to bring La Meccanica’s talented people and advanced technology under the Mimaki umbrella,’ said Kazuaki Ikeda, president. ‘This acquisition bolsters Mimaki’s efforts to bring the digital transformation to textile printing.’
